Cookie Notice
We keep cookies and local storage to the bare minimum. This notice explains exactly what this website stores, why, and how you stay in control.
2. What we use
The table below summarises everything this site stores in your browser.
3. Theme preference
The vt-theme value is stored in your browser's localStorage(not a traditional HTTP cookie, but a similar local mechanism). It records whether you chose light or dark mode so the correct theme loads on every page without a flash of the wrong colour scheme.
It is set only when you actively use the theme switcher. It contains no personal data and is never transmitted to our servers. Until you make a choice, the site simply follows your operating system's colour-scheme preference.
4. Analytics & consent
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this site — such as pages viewed, broad geography, and device type — so we can improve it. Analytics is consent-gated: on your first visit a banner asks whether you accept.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with all storagedenied by default. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script isnot loaded and no analytics cookies are placed. If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (typically up to a 2-year lifespan) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.
You can change your decision at any time using the control (here or in the footer): declining keeps analytics off; accepting re-enables it. Google Analytics is operated by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Your consent choice
Your analytics decision is stored under the vt-consent key inlocalStorage so we don't ask on every visit. It holds only a simple value — granted or denied — and no personal data.
To review or change it, use the control; deleting the vt-consent value will make the consent banner appear again on your next visit.
6. What we do NOT use
To be explicit about what this site avoids entirely:
- No advertising or retargeting cookies — we run no ad networks and never build an advertising profile of you.
- No tracking pixels or social-media beacons — no Meta Pixel, no cross-site trackers, no fingerprinting.
- No data selling or sharing for marketing — nothing is sold, rented, or traded.
- No reCAPTCHA and no form cookies — this site has no contact form, so none are needed.
- No analytics without your consent — the only analytics is Google Analytics 4, and it stays off until you opt in.
7. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. The links below cover the most common browsers:
To clear the values this site stores, open your browser's developer tools, go to "Application" → "Local Storage", and delete the vt-theme and / orvt-consent entries. The site will re-detect your system colour scheme and ask for your analytics choice again on the next visit.

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time as our use of cookies changes or as legal requirements evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will take appropriate steps to inform you.
